Product Developer

the product developer （woven base） has the role of feeding the styling department （and suppliers） with new trends on fabrics, shapestrims on their responsible category. they make sure, together with the senior merchandisers, that all developments are as per the requirements of the costumerare in-line with the target brands image, financial plansbusiness strategy. besides the trends the product developer takes all aspects of apparel manufacturing into consideration when developing new garments, including the technical processes, fabricstrims.
responsibilities:
R26;allocate together with merchandiser the developments to r&d center or the right suppliergive advice on fabric/outlook/fitneeded.
R26;check the outgoing samples together with merchandise on: outlook, details, fittingquality
R26; research the new trends based on the preview/trend forecast on material, shape, printtrims; onlineoff line.
R26; share trends, fabrics with target brands （mango, bershka etc.） within the timeline of the customer development cycle.
R26; give each season custom made: fabric books with shape/style ideas in between if requested by costumer or new trends are spotted.
R26;prepare the showrooms for buying meetings.
R26; fabric library.
R26;keeping the supplier database up to datesource new suppliers: mainly focus on fabricstrims.
required ss:
R26; education: university graduate in fashiontextile studies.
R26; R26;minimal 4 years fabric or garment sourcing experience in lady’s fashion, european market is preferred.
R26;used to working under pressure, works under direction, time management.
R26; R26;solid knowledge of fabricgarment construction, creative thinker passionate about product/package designdevelopment.
R26; R26;fluent in english, spanish is a pre. excellent communicationinterpersonal ss
R26; trendy, a team player, self-motivatedindependent.
R26; occasional travel is necessary.
